Posts to your personal profile and, optionally, Company Pages you administer. Personal posting uses THIS app (Sign In with LinkedIn + Share on LinkedIn). Company Pages need a SEPARATE LinkedIn app that has ONLY the Community Management API product — LinkedIn forbids that product alongside any other — connected as its own connection. Add your LinkedIn app's client ID and secret below, then connect with OAuth. Supports text, single image, video, and multi-image carousel (rendered as a PDF document).
LinkedIn needs TWO separate apps if you want both personal posting and Company Pages. LinkedIn forbids the Community Management API from sharing an app with any other product, so personal posting and Company-Page posting each live on their own app and connect as separate connections here. Set up the personal app first; add the company app when you're ready for Pages.
developer.linkedin.com → Create app. Associate it with a Company Page you control and verify the app.
OpenProducts tab → request “Sign In with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect” and “Share on LinkedIn”. Together these grant openid, profile, email and w_member_social — everything personal-profile posting needs.
Auth tab → OAuth 2.0 settings → add the exact redirect URL this tool shows on the LinkedIn connect screen. It must match byte-for-byte (scheme, host, path, no trailing-slash mismatch).
Auth tab → copy the Client ID and Client Secret into this app’s LinkedIn settings (Client ID / Client secret), then Save.
Channels → Connect → LinkedIn. You authorize as yourself and your personal profile is added as a channel.
Create a brand-new LinkedIn app and, on its Products tab, request ONLY the “Community Management API” product. LinkedIn rejects it if any other product is present or pending, so keep that app clean.
OpenThat product needs LinkedIn’s review before its scopes work. Until it’s approved, connecting the company app fails with unauthorized_scope_error.
Add the SECOND app’s Client ID/Secret to its own LinkedIn connection, set “Company Page posting” to On in Settings, then connect it. The Pages you administer are offered in the channel picker — tick the ones you want.
linkedin.com/developers → your app → Auth tab → "Client ID". Use the PERSONAL app here (products: Sign In with LinkedIn + Share on LinkedIn). Company-Page posting is a SEPARATE app + connection.
Same Auth tab → "Primary Client Secret". Register this tool's exact redirect URL under Auth → OAuth 2.0 settings, byte-for-byte.
LinkedIn-Version header (YYYYMM). Blank = built-in default.
Off by default. Company Pages need a SEPARATE LinkedIn app that has ONLY the Community Management API product (LinkedIn forbids it alongside Sign In + Share). Turn this on only on that dedicated app's connection — else connecting fails with unauthorized_scope_error.
